The 16×2 Alphanumeric LCD Display comes with an I2C/IIC adapter module. It can display up to 32 characters on a single screen, i.e. 16 characters per line. Each character is displayed in a 5×7 pixel matrix. It has a clear blue text on a white background. It can be easily interfaced with an I2C/IIC module. The module has an inbuilt PCF8574 I2C chip that converts I2C serial data to parallel data for the LCD display. It translates the data received from the I2C Bus into parallel data for LCD display. The module has a contrast adjustment pot on the underside of the display which can be used to adjust the screen to display text correctly. The single LED backlight can be dimmed easily with a resistor or PWM. The I2C device has a HEX address by which a microcontroller can communicate with it. The values on display on LCD can be either textual or numerical read by the sensors, such as temperature or pressure.
The alphanumeric display is a simple 16 characters by 2 line display. It has white text on a blue background. The I2C module makes connection and programming a display easy. It translates the data received from the I2C Bus into parallel data that is required for the LCD Display. The I2C interface module will let you realize data display with only 2 wires.
